Multi-Platinum Rockers Finger Eleven Return With Last Night On Earth, Their First Studio Album in A Decade

TORONTO, ON (November 7, 2025) – One of the best-selling Canadian bands of all time, Finger Eleven, are reaching a vibrant new creative peak with Last Night On Earth, their first studio album in a decade, out today via Better Noise Music. After more than 25 years together, the band continues to evolve with tracks that span cinematic, slow-burning moments to incendiary rock anthems. The release coincides with a cross-Canada tour launching later this month, marking a bold next chapter for the band.

Their 2024 North American tour introduced Finger Eleven to a new generation while reigniting their bond with longtime fans, setting the stage for the new music to take flight. The high-octane Adrenaline kickstarted things last year, powering its way into the Top 5 at Canadian rock radio for four explosive months. The blistering hard-rock stomper Blue Sky Mystery, featuring Richard Patrick from Filter, followed, which earned the band their 11th Top 10 hit at Canadian radio. Last month, they released the orchestral and poignant title track, along with an official music video.

Today also marks the release of one of the album’s standout tracks, The Mountain. Although Finger Eleven excel at writing four-minute songs, guitarist James Black remarks that the majestic “The Mountain” feels like a seven-minute epic squeezed into a shorter time, with music as epic as the lyrics are. “The setting is a fantastical one. At its core, it’s a song about trying to find the music,” explains frontman Scott Anderson. “The ultimate search is you’re finally at the end of it. When I step back it’s talking about our own journey, but it’s dressed up in a different way. It’s the idea of just trying to find one more cool idea, and hoping it’s not the last one.”

Finger Eleven feels propelled by a fresh musical vigor. “As we were making Last Night On Earth, there was this feeling that we were making a big rock record,” guitarist Rick Jackett recalls. “We had done that early in our career, and then we veered away from it. But it was time to go back and embrace that bigness of the sound. Even the soft songs sound big.”

This is drummer Steve Molella’s first album with Finger Eleven, and he’s proved his mettle behind the kit and behind the boards as both engineer and producer on the album. Having played with the quintet for a decade, he knows their personalities well and is impressed with their musical camaraderie and willingness to put the group before the self.

Originally from Burlington, Ontario, and now based mostly in Toronto, Finger Eleven have long been recognized as one of Canada’s best-selling bands of all time. They reignited their creative spark in 2023 with a Greatest Hits collection featuring new material, including the radio hit “Together Right,” which spent an incredible five weeks at #1.

After releasing their debut album Tip to critical acclaim, the band broke into the international mainstream with their sophomore album The Greyest of Blue Skies, which achieved platinum status in Canada. Their 2007 release Them vs. You vs. Me launched the single “Paralyzer,” which topped charts internationally, and earned the band a JUNO Award for Rock Album of the Year. They followed it up with Life Turns Electric, nominated for another JUNO, and 2015’s Five Crooked Lines, continuing a run of radio dominance and unforgettable live shows.

Finger Eleven will embark on a Canadian tour with Headstones and The Tea Party, starting on November 25 in Penticton, BC.
