May 22, 2026 (Toronto, ON) — Today, GRAMMY & JUNO Award–winning artist and internationally acclaimed songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk releases In My Own Voice via Wax Records, a deeply personal and long-awaited reimagining of the songs she helped bring into the world for some of music’s biggest global artists. Across 12 stripped-back, emotionally charged recordings, Kreviazuk revisits the chart-defining tracks she co-wrote throughout her career — now transformed through her own unmistakable voice and perspective.

What began as a viral wave of rediscovery around early releases “Over My Dead Body” and “Feel This Moment” has evolved into a full-circle artistic statement, one that places Kreviazuk’s voice at the centre of songs that have shaped the emotional landscape of pop music over the last two decades. Rather than recreating the originals, In My Own Voice pulls these songs back to their emotional core — intimate, cinematic reinterpretations that reveal the songwriting beneath the spectacle.

“Being a songwriter and collaborating with some of the biggest and most celebrated artists of our time has been one of the greatest privileges of my life and career,” Kreviazuk shares. “Being able to reimagine these songs in my own voice was validating and liberating at once. I have always believed that a great song is a great song and if we remove production and strip things back to a simple and intimate place, nothing is lost and we can maybe even find some other magical moments from the heart of the original writer. Recorded at Fuse Sound in Stockholm, Sweden, In My Own Voice was brought to life alongside acclaimed producer Eric Rosse, a longtime dream collaborator for Kreviazuk whose work has shaped records by Tori Amos, Sara Bareilles, and Mary Lambert. Together, they approached the album with restraint and emotional honesty, allowing the songwriting itself to take centre stage.
